From All Points South

From All Points South:

  • Head north into Maine.

  • Stay on I-95 North (taking coastal Route 1 adds about 8 extra hours — not recommended).

Popular Pit Stop:

  • Many racers stop at Dysart’s Truck Stop (Exit 180) for fuel and food — it’s a Maine racing tradition!

Continue North on I-95 to Exit 302 (Houlton):

  • Take Exit 302 – Houlton.

  • Turn onto US Route 1 North.

Two Route Options

Two Route Options:

  • At Mars Hill, US-1 splits into US-1 and US-1A:

    • US-1A is a little more direct but has very limited services.

    • US-1 takes you through Presque Isle and Caribou — better for fuel, food, and supplies.

If You Take US-1A:

  • Continue north to Limestone.

  • Turn left onto Route 89.

  • At the 4-way intersection, turn right onto Commerce Center Road (approx. 2.5 miles from the Limestone turn-off).

  • Then take the second right onto New Mexico Road — there should be event signs posted.

If You Take US-1:

  • Continue to Caribou.

  • Use the new Caribou Bypass.

  • Follow signs and turn left off the bypass toward Limestone (Route 89).

  • Drive 7.3 miles from the Burger King traffic light in Caribou to Commerce Center Road.

  • Turn left onto Commerce Center Road, then right onto New Mexico Road.
